National Grid Donates $500,000 to United Way and Good Neighbor Energy Fund for Winter Heating Assistance

By MyFM’s Claire Beverly – National Grid says they are donating nearly $500,000 to the United Way and Good Neighbor Energy Fund to help those who may have trouble paying winter heating bills.  The Massachusetts Good Neighbor Energy Fund is available to any Massachusetts resident who can’t meet monthly energy expenses and is not eligible for state or federal energy assistance. The Franklin Observer reports even if you have a stable job, you may qualify if you’ve had an income disruption or emergency. You can apply through April.
