By MyFM’s Marissa Santos – Blackstone-Millville Regional School Committee voted to close Millville Elementary School until ’24-’25. Dan Keefe proposed the motion, seconded by Charles Dunton, passing 6-2. Despite offers of bottled water, the motion passed. Chairwoman Erin Vinacco dissented, advocating for bottled water commitment. The closure aligns with the district’s consolidation plans led by Superintendent Dr. Jason DeFalco. MES’s future remains uncertain.
