A Milford woman has been nominated for the 22nd Annual Heroines of Massachusetts Commonwealth Heroines Award. State Representative Brian Murray nominated Yianna Zicherman who is a volunteer with the Franklin Food Pantry. Zicherman manages the Pantry’s warehouse and the staff of volunteers and while not often visible to the Pantry’s clients, Murray says more than 1,800 local families benefit from what she achieves. She was honored in a ceremony at the State House last month.
