A teen from Milford has been honored for a documentary film she created. Cecilia Deslaurier-Tate is now attending Arizona State University but last year she produced a film about a renowned animal activist for which he has received the Girl Scouts Highest Honor – The Gold Award – and with it a $5000 scholarship. Patch reports the film called “A Leading Lady’s Legacy: How Amanda Blake Set the Stage for the Conservation” is the story of one of the stars of TV’s “Gunsmoke” who became an advocate for wildlife conservation. Deslaurier-Tate is studying entrepreneurial leadership and theater at ASU.
