There’s a big change coming to Milford Public Schools. Superintendent Dr. Kevin McIntyre has announced his impending retirement. In an announcement to families McIntyre said he will be retired as of August, although he plans to actually leave the position in July and use the rest of the time to mentor his replacement. Milford School Committee Chair Matthew Zacchili tells Patch they are now accepting applications for the superintendent position until March 18. McIntyre has been with Milford since 2013 first as assistant superintendent and then as superintendent starting in 2016. He has been working in education since 1993.
