A Milford restaurant is partnering with local non-profit Thanks to Yanks to collect personal care items for those deployed overseas. All this month, Red Heat American Tavern has a donation bin inside the restaurant where you can drop off essential personal care and nonperishable food items. They need things like deodorant, soap, toothbrushes, toothpaste, shampoo, conditioner, and hygiene wipes. And they love things like trail mix, hard candies, nuts, protein bars and water flavoring packets.
