MILFORD – A Milford resident is hoping for community support after a devastating crash left him unable to work for months.
Calif Anderson, 36, had worked as a DoorDash driver for two years when he was struck by a vehicle while stopped at a traffic light. According to family and friends, the other driver was traveling approximately 50 miles per hour when the collision occurred, totaling Anderson’s vehicle just two weeks before Christmas.
The crash left Anderson with serious back injuries that required more than six months of physical therapy and frequent chiropractic treatment. During his recovery, he was unable to work and reportedly lost more than $20,000 in income.
Anderson also helps care for his elderly grandmother and contributes to household expenses. Family members say the financial impact of the accident has been significant, and a GoFundMe campaign is currently being organized to help support both Anderson and his grandmother as he continues his recovery.
