MILFORD — Rent prices in Milford have reportedly risen sharply over the past year, with the median apartment rent jumping by about 23 percent.
According to rental marketplace Zumper, the median rent for an apartment in Milford topped $3,100 last month, up from $2,550 a year ago. USA Today reports that Zumper analyzed active listings ranging from studio apartments to four-bedroom units to calculate the median rent.
The data shows Milford’s typical apartment rent is now about 5 percent higher than the Massachusetts state median, which sits just under $3,000. Compared nationally, Milford rents are significantly higher — roughly 65 percent above the national median, which is around $1,900.
