Milford Regional Earns Another “A” Grade for Patient Safety

MILFORD – UMass Memorial Health Milford Regional Medical Center has once again received an “A” grade for patient safety in the latest Leapfrog Group Hospital Safety Grades.

The top rating recognizes hospitals for protecting patients from preventable harm, including medical errors, accidents, injuries, and infections. Leapfrog reports that Milford Regional has maintained an “A” grade since 2018.

Chief Medical Officer Dr. Peter Smulowitz said the hospital does not take the rating for granted, noting that staff continually assess opportunities for safety improvement to ensure high-quality care for patients.
