Milford Regional and UMass Memorial Health Consider Affiliation

By MyFM’s Claire Beverly – Officials say the proposed partnership of Milford Regional Medical Center and UMass Memorial Health would be an affiliation, not a merger. The Daily News reports at last week’s public webinar about their proposed corporate affiliation they said it would save them both money on things like system-wide technology upgrades but would not require closing any Milford Regional services or changing any of the staffing or leadership at either hospital system. Officials say they are aiming to have the affiliation done by Fall 2024.
