Milford’s Police Chief Selection Committee is reportedly down to four candidates. The Daily News reports they were whittled down from written assessments and this weekend they will undergo verbal assessments of their reactions to scenarios. The Committee’s goal is to name a new chief before interim chief James Falvey retires next month. Milford last had a permanent chief in 2021 when Michael Pighetti was fired for breach of contract by making a traffic stop which he was not allowed because his training had expired.
