By MyFM’s Claire Beverly – A team of Milford police officers has been commended by the US Department of Homeland Security for helping to round up dozens of people involved in gang activity around Boston. Last week Milford Detective Lt. Kevin O’Loughlin, Special Operations Officers Jon Lavigne and Jhan Wade, and Officer Joseph Sanchioni, were honored for their part in a sweep this year of the Heath Street Gang. The Daily News reports there were 42 arrests for racketeering, drug trafficking, weapons trafficking and financial fraud.
