By MyFM’s Claire Beverly – One of Milford’s newest cops is on suspension. The state agency charged with overseeing police conduct has suspended Timothy Brennan who was hired in Milford last month after being fired from Hopkinton. Documents show Brennan stated he knew about an allegation of rape of a student by a fellow officer years ago but did not report it, because he learned about it years later, when the victim was an adult, and they’d asked him not to say anything. The POST Commission is investigating whether Brennan violated policy. Milford’s Police Chief tells the Daily News he thinks the Commission is sending the wrong message to victims.
