MILFORD – A Milford man involved in a multi-state gun trafficking ring dismantled last spring has been sentenced to three years in prison, followed by deportation to Brazil.

According to the Daily News, Vanderson Rocha Oliveira pleaded guilty in July to charges related to dealing firearms without a license. He was among 18 men arrested in March after a yearlong federal investigation.

Federal authorities say Oliveira illegally sold guns and ammunition and conspired with others to purchase firearms in Florida and ship them to Massachusetts.
