MILFORD — A Milford man is facing animal cruelty charges after police say he allegedly threw a dog from a balcony early Saturday morning.
Officers responded around 2:30 a.m. to Oak Ridge Apartments on Pheasant Circle after neighbors called 911 to report a disturbance. When officers arrived, they found a small gray dog injured on the ground outside the building.
The dog was transported to Tufts Animal Hospital in Grafton for treatment.
Alex De Oliveira has been charged with Cruelty to an Animal, Disturbing the Peace, and additional related offenses. He was arrested and later released on $5,000 bail.
