By MyFM’s Claire Beverly – Milford Police have arrested a man they say started a brush fire Saturday in the midst of elevated fire danger across the region. Police say Devonte Johnson was arrested on charges related to the fire that damaged Town-owned land in a wooded area of 296 West Street. Johnson is charged with Burning Timber Land, Setting an Open Fire, Disorderly Conduct and Disturbing the Peace. Forecasters have been warning of high fire conditions with our prolonged period of dry weather and low relative humidity continuing.
