MILFORD – Milford High School has been awarded a major grant to support its highly regarded French program. French teacher Lydia Buckley received an $8,000 grant from the Select Committee of the French as a World Language program through the French Embassy, aimed at expanding student opportunities.
The district says the funding will benefit about 500 students each year, supporting immersive experiences such as a national French contest, guest authors, artists and historians, a French Summer Immersion camp, and virtual exchanges with a French-speaking school.
