Milford has a new Police Chief. On Thursday the Select Board voted unanimously to appoint Deputy Chief Robert Tusino into the top job. Tusino was one of three finalists which also included Milford Deputy Police Chief John Sanchioni. A Milford native, Tusino will take over after interim chief James Falvey officially retires at the end of the week. Milford has not had a permanent chief since 2021 when Michael Pighetti was fired for breach of contract for making a traffic stop after his training to do so had lapsed.
