Milford Fire Department Issues Guidelines as Open Burning Season Begins

Open Burning season has started and the Milford Fire Department has several reminders. You can burn brush, cane, driftwood, and forestry debris but not grass, hay, leaves or stumps. It has to be near where it came from but more than 75 feet away from any dwelling building. And, burning can only be done from 10am to 4pm. This is only for residents, not businesses or institutional land clearing. And you must get a permit from the Fire Department. The permit is free but you do have to have it.
