By MyFM’s Claire Beverly – It’s the end of free curb-side pick-up for old furniture, appliances and other bulk waste in Milford. Starting August 1, you will have to call the town’s trash contractor EL Harvey and arrange for them to come and get it for a fee. In a notice on the town website, they say it’s to pass on the cost of the extra steps to break it down to the person trashing it, not the whole town. Milford has also rolled out single stream recycling with all the recyclables going onto one big bin. They say it also keeps costs down and keeps the streets tidier.
