Mendon-Upton Schools Receive $30,000 Grant to Support Hate Crime Prevention Efforts

MENDON – The Mendon-Upton Regional School District has been awarded a $30,000 grant through the Massachusetts Hate Crime Prevention Grant Program. The state funding will support the district’s efforts to prevent hate crimes and reduce incidences of bias in order to foster a safe, inclusive, and supportive educational environment.

According to the district, the money can be used for creating curriculum, providing professional development for educators, and collaborating with local organizations that work toward preventing hate and bias. School officials say these initiatives will help strengthen ongoing efforts to promote respect, belonging, and safety for all students.
