MENDON-UPTON – The Mendon‑Upton Regional School District has been added to a short list of school districts across the state that have surpassed pre-pandemic student achievement levels in math.

State officials say that out of more than 300 school districts in Massachusetts, Mendon-Upton is one of only 54 districts recognized for exceeding pre-pandemic math performance in grades 3 through 8. Assistant Superintendent Cheryl Kirkpatrick says Grade 4 student growth on MCAS math scores has been well above the state mean for four consecutive years, outperforming the vast majority of districts.
