By MyFM’s Claire Beverly – The Medway Select Board has sent a letter to the governor stating the Town’s opposition to the MBTA Communities Act requiring towns to create zoning to increase availability of housing. The idea of the letter was overwhelmingly passed by Town Meeting in May on a vote of 405 to 105. In the letter, the Select Board tells the governor about that vote and asks that she and the legislature work to repeal the Act. The letter was also sent to Senate President Karen Spilka and Representatives Jeff Roy and Michael Soter.
