MEDWAY – Ahead of Monday’s Town Meeting, Medway officials are encouraging residents to learn more about a proposal to preserve 88 acres of open space known as Shady Oaks Farm on Winthrop Street.
The warrant article requests $5.6 million in Community Preservation Act funding to purchase and clean up the land near Medway High School and Medway Community Farm. Officials say the project can be funded through existing and future CPA resources without additional taxpayer costs, and a full analysis is available on the town website.
