MEDWAY – Medway Police are alerting residents to a phone scam in which callers are spoofing the department’s business line and pretending to be agents from “Homeland Security.” According to police, the scammers claim the targeted resident has active warrants and must make a payment to avoid arrest.

Officials emphasize that neither Medway Police nor any federal agency will ever demand personal information or payment over the phone. If you receive one of these fraudulent calls, they urge you to hang up immediately and then contact the Medway Police Department directly to verify any concerns.
