MEDWAY – Medway Police are looking for volunteers willing to step up and help during emergencies such as severe weather, power outages, or evacuations.
The department is launching a Community Partnerships program designed to support residents and first responders during critical situations. Volunteer roles may include checking on elderly or vulnerable neighbors, staffing warming and cooling centers, distributing food, water, or emergency supplies, and providing basic logistical support to public safety officials.
Police say the program is built on the idea that community members can play a meaningful role during emergencies and that even small contributions can make a big difference when resources are stretched.
Residents interested in volunteering or learning more about the program are encouraged to email [email protected].
