Medway Chief of Police William Kingsbury is responding to concerns and rumors about how exactly they use the town’s two Automatic License Plate Reader cameras. He says they have been used to further criminal investigations, find stolen vehicles, enforce restraining orders, identify active threats, and find missing people including several missing elderly folks not just from Medway but from other towns. He says they are not traffic ticket cameras, and they are not used for immigration enforcement.
