MEDWAY – The Medway Board of Health says they now have fentanyl test strips and wallet cards, with instructions, available at the Medway Police Department, the Medway Public Library and at Town Hall in the Board of Health Office.
Fentanyl is a powerful synthetic opioid similar to morphine but 100 times more potent. It is a prescription opioid but when made and used illegally, it is sometimes mixed into other drugs like heroin, cocaine, and meth, usually without the buyer knowing it, and can be fatal.
