By MyFM’s Claire Beverly – A Medway Police Lieutenant is on the cover of Sports Illustrated’s Commemorative Fan issue as a member of the Bicycle Patrol Unit that worked the Patriots-Seahawks Game this past weekend. The Department says Lt. Jeff Watson is one of many Medway officers that have provided law enforcement services at both the original Foxboro Stadium and today’s Gillette Stadium since the 1970s. Lt. Watson has been a fixture since the late 1980s and was one of the originators of the bicycle patrol unit.
