Medway Fire Captain Tom Irwin is now the Deputy Fire Chief. Town Manager Michael Boynton tapped Irwin to be promoted into the job following the appointment of Michael Fasolino as the new Chief. Captain Irwin has served Medway Fire for 25 years, becoming a Lieutenant in 2013 and Captain in 2014. He has also been involved with safety education for Medway Schools students, has helped to shape training programs for Department members, and has provided policy input as part of the leadership team.
