Great news as a Medway family stuck in Gaza since the Israel-Hamas war began last month is heading home. A family spokesman announced Thursday morning that the Okal family, US Citizens who had been visiting family and got stuck trying to leave at the Gaza/Egypt border for weeks, were able to cross into Egypt early Thursday morning and were being transported to Cairo by the U.S. Bureau of Consular Affairs. The Spokesman says the Okals are deeply grateful to the Medway community for sharing their plight.
