A Medway family is among those trying to evacuate from the Middle East amid the sudden war between Israel and Hamas. CBS Boston reports Wafaa Abuzayda and Abood Okal and their one-year-old son, who are all U.S. citizens, were visiting relatives in Gaza when Hamas launched an attack on Israel October 7 and they have been trying to leave ever since. They’re getting help from the U.S. Embassy in Cairo and made it to the Gaza border with Egypt four days ago but the border is only open sporadically.
