Medway Cracks Down on Dog Waste Dumping in Storm Drains

By MyFM’s Claire Beverly – The Town of Medway is cracking down on how people dispose of dog waste. They say while people are apparently making the effort to pick up after their dog when walking them, they are then dumping the waste bags on the ground in stormwater basins instead of carrying them to a trash bin. They have posted a picture on the town website of a basin with dozens of little bags all over. They remind you that any bacteria that ends up in the stormwater basins gets to local rivers and eventually into drinking water supplies.
