MEDWAY – Medway officials are asking residents to consider a proposal to preserve 88 acres of open space known as Shady Oaks Farm on Winthrop Street at the upcoming Town Meeting. The warrant article requests $5.6 million in Community Preservation Act funding to acquire and clean up the land.
Town leaders say the purchase could be completed using existing and future CPA funds without additional taxpayer cost, and note the property’s proximity to Medway High School and Medway Community Farm. More details are available on the town website.
