MEDWAY – Residents can learn more this week about an innovative environmental project planned for the Idylbrook Conservation Area.
The Medway Conservation Commission will host a presentation on its upcoming Miyawaki Forest Project, which involves planting a small native micro-forest designed to increase biodiversity and climate resilience.
Organizers say Miyawaki forests can grow up to 10 times faster and become significantly denser than traditional forests. The project is being fully funded by the Conservation Commission. The presentation takes place Thursday at 6 PM at Medway Middle School.
