WESTBOROUGH – MassDOT has postponed the planned overnight closure of Flanders Road tied to the ongoing I-495/I-90 Interchange Improvement Project.
The closure and detour, originally scheduled for last night and tonight so crews could demolish the I-495 bridge over Flanders Road, will now take place on Saturday during the day. According to MassDOT, Flanders Road will be closed between Washington Street and Connector Road from 5 a.m. to 5 p.m. this Saturday.
The officially posted detour will direct drivers to use Route 9 between Coslin Drive and Connector Road while the work is underway. Officials advise motorists to plan for delays and seek alternate routes if possible.
