MEDWAY – Mandatory water use restrictions are now in effect in Medway as officials work to protect the town’s water supply through September. The Water Division has announced a mandatory outdoor water ban, limiting when and how residents can use water outside.
Under the restrictions, outdoor watering is prohibited from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., and in-ground sprinkler systems are banned entirely. Residents may hand-water only on alternating schedules, with odd-numbered homes watering on odd calendar days and even-numbered homes on even calendar days.
