FRANKLIN – Significant construction activity is underway this week as part of the Beaver Street Interceptor Upgrade Project.
Through Thursday, crews will be working near the MBTA tracks on Beaver Street between 7 a.m. and 4 p.m., resulting in lane closures. The biggest impact comes this weekend, when Beaver Street will be completely closed at the railroad crossing from Saturday at midnight through Monday, June 15 at 4 p.m.
The project will also affect commuter rail service. Due to the crossing work, MBTA Commuter Rail service to Forge Park/495 and Dean College stations will be suspended on Saturday, June 13, and Sunday, June 14. Residents and commuters are encouraged to plan alternate routes and transportation arrangements.
