MA Included in Blue Ridge Beef Recall of Pet Food Due to Salmonella and Listeria Concerns

By MyFM’s Marissa Santos – Blue Ridge Beef, a pet food company in Statesville, North Carolina, expanded its recall due to Salmonella and Listeria traces in kitten and puppy food distributed across 16 states. The initial recall covered 2lb Kitten Grind, Kitten Mix, and Puppy Mix from Nov. 14 to Dec. 20, 2023, in Connecticut, Massachusetts, Maryland, North Carolina, New York, Pennsylvania, and Virginia. The recalled items were in clear plastic packaging sold in retail stores across 16 states. No reported illnesses.
