By MyFM’s Claire BeverlyFour local dispatchers are being commended for their actions in what officials say was a particularly difficult call last month. The Massachusetts 911 Department highlights the story in their October Newsletter. They say Dispatcher Lisa Trusas of Milford Police was working at the backup call center in Hopkinton when she got a call with a screaming woman who only spoke Spanish. Hopkinton Dispatcher Carmen Cifuentes jumped in to translate while Trusas relayed the call to Milford Dispatchers Amanda Gresian and Daniel Moreira who called Milford Police, Fire, and EMS to what turned out to be a murder/suicide. They say all four dispatchers flawlessly served the first responders to and through the scene.
