Lake Chauncy Beach to Open Without Lifeguards This Summer Due to Staffing Shortage

By MyFM’s Claire Beverly – If your family swims at Westborough’s Lake Chauncy note that there will be no life guards this summer. The Recreation Department Director tells the Community Advocate there were not enough applicants to fully staff the beach, so it will be “swim at your own risk” when it opens at the end of the month. She says there will still be swimming lessons, which are done by an outside vendor. But no lifeguards also means no bathroom attendants, so beach goers have to use the porta potties in the parking lot.
