By MyFM’s Claire Beverly – The Hopkinton Select Board and School Committee have together appointed Kyla McSweeney to the School Committee for the seat left open when Adam Munroe resigned. McSweeney will have the seat until the May 2025 Town Election. The Hopkinton Independent reports she already serves in Hopkinton as chair of the Cemetery Commission and as a Girl Scout leader. The only other candidate was Brendan Tedstone. The final vote of the joint board was 5 to 4 for McSweeney.
