WHITINSVILLE – Koopman Lumber is getting a new CEO — and the role is staying in the family. Dirk Koopman has announced he will step down as Chief Executive Officer, with his sister Denise Koopman Brookhouse set to take over the position. Dirk will transition into the roles of chairman of the board and president as part of the leadership shift.

Brookhouse currently serves as the company’s chief financial officer, while her husband, Tony Brookhouse, is the chief operating officer, continuing the multigenerational family leadership structure. The Whitinsville-based company, founded in 1939, is now proudly operating under its third generation of Koopman family stewardship.
