MILFORD – A Milford man convicted of manslaughter in the stabbing death of a Holliston man will be getting a new trial.
Jeremy Robin was convicted by a jury in 2021 for the 2017 death of Timothy Commerford. Prosecutors argued the killing was an act of revenge during a drug deal, while Robin maintained the stabbing was done in self-defense and in defense of others.
According to the Daily News, Robin appealed his conviction and a judge has now ruled in his favor, finding that he received “ineffective lawyering” during his original trial. The judge also ruled that newly uncovered DNA evidence could have helped support Robin’s defense.
There is no word yet on when a new trial will be scheduled.
