HOPKINTON – The owners of JB Sawmill and Land Clearing say they are still very much in business, despite last week’s fire that destroyed their sawmill building.
The owners told the Hopkinton Independent that while the sawmill itself is a total loss, the company continues to offer other services including land clearing and fence installation. They also said that for now, they have been able to keep all of their employees working, even in the wake of the fire.
The owners added that they are extremely grateful for the outpouring of support from the community, including food and gift cards that they are sharing with their workers, as well as support from other lumber businesses that have stepped in and sent them work as they recover.
They say the encouragement and assistance they’ve received has helped them stay focused on moving forward.
