HOPKINTON – An independent investigation is underway following a crash involving a Hopkinton Police cruiser late last month. The incident happened on December 26 when an officer in a marked police vehicle was responding to a call and collided with another car at the intersection of Main Street and Cedar Street.
A Hopkinton Police Department spokesperson tells the Hopkinton Independent that the officer was taken to a hospital for treatment, while the driver and passengers of the other vehicle were not injured. The crash is now being investigated by the Central Massachusetts Law Enforcement Council Crash Reconstruction Team.
