A Hyannis woman has been arrested for trying to cash a forged check at a bank in Milford. Police say it happened Thursday evening at the Citizen’s Bank on Medway Road. Bank staff alleged the 21-year-old woman was trying to cash a fraudulent check for $2,500. Police say a search of her vehicle turned up a second fraudulent check for $3,300 along with two bags of fentanyl and some Xanax tablets. She is charged with Identity Fraud, Attempted Larceny by Check, Forgery, and a bunch of drug crimes.
