HOLLISTON – A devastating fire broke out on Norfolk Street in Holliston last Tuesday, leaving two people injured and rendering their home unlivable. Authorities have not yet identified the cause of the blaze, which drew a response from the Holliston Fire Department around 9:40 p.m. Additional assistance came from Medway Police and the Millis Fire Department, who helped bring the incident under control.
The residence was heavily damaged, and officials have concluded that it cannot currently be occupied. Support for the displaced family is being coordinated through the Red Cross, along with a community-backed GoFundMe effort known as “Help the Flahertys.”
The two individuals hurt in the fire are said to be recovering, though the family suffered another loss as well—their dog died in the fire, according to social media posts from friends.
