Hopkinton’s Police Union calls the Select Board’s decision to delay two officer promotions that were on their agenda earlier this week “disgraceful.” In an open letter to the Select Board the Vice President of the Union says they want more explanation as to why Board Chair Muriel Kramer asked for a delay when the agenda item came up and not before, causing “humiliation” for the officers with their families present. Kramer asked for the delay until a departmental review could be completed this month and all but one Board member agreed. Kramer had also stated she wanted to review disciplinary records.
