HOPKINTON – The 26.2 Foundation says it has been awarded a $12,000 grant to help upgrade community trails at its property on East Main Street, the future home of its museum and education center.
The grant comes from Athletic Brewing Company and will support work being done in partnership with the Town of Hopkinton’s Trails Committee. The project will focus on rehabilitating roughly two miles of trails near the planned International Marathon Center.
Foundation officials say the improvements will include better trail connections to other town trail networks, along with new equipment and updated signage to enhance access and usability for residents and visitors. The upgrades are part of broader preparations as the Foundation moves forward with plans for the International Marathon Center on East Main Street.
